As of yesterday morning it has stopped recording or alerting me to any motion triggered events.
Ring motion alerts stopped working.
Notification settings are specific to each mobile device connected to ring not your actual ring doorbell or stick up cam.
Go to your device settings in the ring app and make sure the buttons for both ring notifications and motion notifications are set to the blue on position.
I can still access live view and a recording is generated any time that i do so.
Even if your wi fi network is functioning normally your ring device could be running into problems connecting.
My motion zones are active but i am not receiving any alerts.
If you are experiencing the above then your ring pro may have disconnected itself from your wifi network.
To re enable a motion go to the motion settings and tap on a zone to activate it again.
If an event doesn t appear your ring device has most likely been disconnected from your wifi network.
Doorbell or stick up cam.
You don t get any alerts in the ring app.
Prior to this it has worked fine in this regard.
For example if you activate notifications on your phone they will not be automatically activated on your tablet.
Check this by pressing the doorbell button or triggering a motion alert.

Ensure the switches for both ring alerts and motion alerts are toggled on they ll both be blue.
If your device is functioning properly a new event will appear in your activity log.
You can adjust this through the alexa app on your mobile device.
Follow the prompts in the ring app to save the setting.
What do i do.
Notification settings have to be set individually for different devices.
Then follow the prompts to save the change.
Tap on motion settings.
You should also check your ring device s internet connection.
Select zones and ranges.
I have had my ring doorbell 2 installed and working since november 2018.
